MARYLAND BLACK FILM FESTIVAL
(MBFF)

The Maryland Black Film Festival (MBFF) was established to be a premier film festival for people of color in the country.  This will be a two-day festival event with special panel discussions with local industry leaders. Virtual private screenings to accommodate out of state viewers. Not every film selection will be screened, select from the best of the best will be chosen for screening. A special in-person awards ceremony. A new addition to our festival is the Best Stage play Video Production.

This is for the best theatrical stage play video recorded production. $300 cash prize to the "People Choice Award" winner and introduction to our affiliate distributors for possible distribution opportunity

 

A special VIP meet & greet networking with DMV film movers and shakers for VIP attendees. A special in-person awards ceremony.

In order to submit to the Maryland Black Film Festival, one or more of the following should be African American:

 

1. Lead Actor/Actress
2. Director
3. Writer
4. Producer
5. Editor
6. Director of Photography
